The Maiden Over is an independently owned local community pub with two bars, one being the sports bar where there is a big screen and Sky Sports are shown, along with pool tables and other game machines. Then there is the large lounge bar which is where you can enjoy a quiet drink with your partners and friends most evenings. Attached to the lounge is Barringtons Bistro where you can order a bar snack or enjoy a full menu meal at reasonable prices. Monday nights is General Knowledge Quiz and Sunday Nights is an entertainment quiz. Both offer lots of fun and cash prizes. On the last Friday of the month there is always entertainment in the lounge bar. There is a small but well maintained beer garden ideal in those summer months. 'We have no strangers here only friends we've yet to meet'

We also have a flourishing golf society, a petanque club,and pool team everybody is welcome to join.
